System Integration
With the Marvin Group’s diverse set of defense products and with the varying capabilities and skills throughout the group, we are able to often provide a systems integration capability, bringing together more than one of our products or areas of expertise. One example of our integration capabilities is our F-35 Lightening II pylon program. Marvin Engineering Company is the Lockheed Martin’s lead partner managing a cohort of industry leaders producing the Airborne Armament Equipment and provides a systems integration role on the air-to-ground pylon. The pylon is initially machined at our ADI facility in Valencia and then shipped to Inglewood for final machining and detailing. The pylon is then integrated with a customer furnished ejector system and equipped with all the necessary wiring harnesses and fluid lines which are also manufactured by Marvin Engineering. We then carry out final assembly, integration and test and upon successful completion ship the completed system to Lockheed Martin. As armament and release systems become more complex with increasing technology, Marvin Engineering will continue to adapt and leverage the skills and capabilities internal to The Marvin Group in order to offer systems integration capability to the customer with the ability to provide a ‘one stop shop’ turnkey solution wherever required. |
