The AMRAAM Missile Rail Launcher (MRL) is utilized for launching AMRAAM and Sidewinder Missiles from a variety of aircraft, including: F-15, F-16, F-18, and F-22. There are predominately three different configurations of the MRL. Each of the units requires extensive Acceptance Testing and Environmental Stress Screening. MRL testing is performed at the end item level as well as throughout the lower subassemblies and components. MRL testing includes high and low temperature cycling, vibration, electrical, functional, and pressure testing. To date, Marvin Engineering has delivered in excess of 4,500 launchers.
