CAPTIVE AIR TRAINING MISSILE PROGRAM

Military Aircraft that carry the AMRAAM use the Captive Air Training Missile (CATM) to simulate the AMRAAM in weight, center of gravity, and overall structure. The CATM consists of four major body sections, four fixed wings and four fins which are identical in size and shape to those on the AMRAAM missile. The intended use of the CATM is for pilot and ground support training. Marvin Engineering has built over 3,200 Captive Air Training Missiles in support of the United States Air Force and NATO countries.
